Synopsis

The Other Side of Silence opens with a terrifying plane crash in the wilds of the Amazon jungle. In the search for survivors another plane goes down in this inhospitable land. Three characters Sylvia, a research scientist, Paul, an exploitative businessman and Mark, a doctor, each struggle to find a way home. Thus begins a difficult journey which rapidly becomes one of self discovery as Sylvia battles with a lack of self worth, Paul with his philandering lifestyle and Mark with his unhappy marriage. Matters are further complicated by a growing sexual chemistry between Sylvia and her male companions. An impending tragedy is revealed to Sylvia by a South American shaman, but will she be able to act on the advice given in time? The Other Side of Silence will appeal to readers who like stories of adventure and romance and has enough twists and turns of plot to satisfy even the most demanding reader.

Author Bio
Helen Reno was born in Limassol, Cyprus and after an education in the arts and classics, she came to the UK to study for her BSC in Applied Biology and Chemistry and then a PHd both at the University of Wales. Helen has lectured in Pharmacology at universities in Nigeria and Libya and has since become a freelance medical writer. Married with two children she lives in Knutsford in Cheshire and enjoys collecting plants and painting.
