ALL ABOUT COLOUR (All About Series)

by Irene Yates (Author), Jill Newton (Illustrator)

Synopsis

Exploring colour, this book which is one of a series, is designed to encourage young children to examine the world around them. Through a simple and easy-to-read text it invites children to answer questions and to investigate and observe for themselves. Colour is all around us. We find colour everywhere we look. The text describes how colours are made through the mixing of primary colours and white or black. Each colour is diplayed on a spread with selected objects of that colour. At the end of the book is a memory game based on the pictures throughout the book; a cardboard top painted in primary colours which when spun change to different colour ranges and an experiment to test how many colours can be made from a little boat painted from three primary colours.
