  Twiggy was the world's first supermodel. As 'The Face of 1966', Twiggy (born Lesley Hornby) was the embodiment of the 60s look and was photographed by leading figures Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, Melvin Sokolsky, Helmut Newton, Bert Stern, Klaus Voorman, Douglas Kirkland and Norman Parkinson. In addition, an illustrated chronology traces highlights in her career, including her starring role in Ken Russell's film The Boyfriend (1971), for which she was awarded two Golden Globes, and her Tony-award-nominated appearance in the Broadway musical My One and Only (1983-4).
