This diary commemorates the centenary of the Tate Gallery, which will be celebrated on 21 July 1997. The 25 colour plates have been selected to reflect the vast range of the Tate's Collection, illustrating, amongst others, the work of Cezanne, Constable, Dali, Dufy, Matisse, Sargent and Stubbs. As well as a well-designed week-to-view grid on each double-page spread, the diary contains a wealth of practical information about the Tate Gallery and its exhibitions for 1997, from the gift of Sir Henry Tate to the current plans for the new Tate Gallery of Modern Art at Bankside.
