  This book is intended either for undergraduate study as part of a language course or for individual study and self-imporvement by would-be or practising professional translators. The level of difficulty and subject range of the texts also aims to help students prepare for professional exams such as the Diploma in Translation of the Institute of Linguists. The contents include a discussion of different approaches to the process of translation, together with a selection of source texts in French.
