Conveyancing Forms and Procedures

by Michael Taylor (Author), Annette Goss (Author), Lorraine Richardson (Author)

Synopsis

This popular practice manual for conveyancers has been completely revised and updated to take account of the fundamental changes that have occurred to the law and practice of conveyancing in recent years. A new team of authors with experience of conveyancing, land registration and training conveyancers have comprehensively re-written the book to take account of: the Land Registration Act 2002 and HMLR e-services; electronic ordering and delivery of property searches; Stamp Duty Land Tax; the requirements of the Money Laundering Regulations; Home Information Packs and Energy Performance Certificates; and, revised TransAction forms. The book provides a detailed, step-by-step guide to the sequence of a domestic residential conveyancing transaction. Over 40 forms, including all those which are most commonly used in conveyancing, are reproduced in the book and are accompanied by user-friendly commentary on their use and purpose. The appendix includes a directory of contact details, land registry and local authority addresses, fees tables to assist with the correct completion and dispatch of forms. The accompanying CD-ROM contains a wealth of material to supplement and illustrate the text, including color plans, specimen HIPs, EPCs and search reports.
