The Scottish Highlands are Europe's last great wilderness. The ecological balance is under threat and the final guardian is the Highland Estate. The combination of farming, forestry, deer management and fishing in the form of the traditional sporting estate offer a solution to the increasing pressures threatening that legendary landscape, known as God's country . This book describes in detail the workings of the Highland sporting estate, as well as presenting the colour photography of Glyn Satterley.
