Poor Kevin

Poor Kevin

by KateMargam (Author)

Synopsis

Most men come to Louise Chapman for comfort, counselling or sex. And she gives it to them. Her boyfriend doesn't seem to mind. But when Kevin comes to see her, everything changes. Kevin is different. He makes her laugh. He is also everything a girl desires: thirty-five, fit, good-looking and solvent, with Paul Newman eyes. Poor Kevin! He doesn't stand a chance. Kate Margam's striking first novel is an intelligent comedy of sex, therapy, religion and cross-dressing, featuring a cast of characters with only a confused grip on their own sexual identities and even stranger theories on life. Louise may be the answer. But can one young woman be strong enough and will she prove to be Kevin's saviour or his downfall?

Media Reviews
?It?s a comedy of manners, and a hugely entertaining one at that? Fiesta ?A refreshingly twisted antidote to the anodyne niceties of the professionally neurotic Fielding set? BBM ?With its sharp humour, mystery and plentiful sex, what more could you possibly want in a book?? Big Issue
