Spiritual Fathers: A Biblical and Practical Perspective on Spiritual Fathers and Fathering

Spiritual Fathers: A Biblical and Practical Perspective on Spiritual Fathers and Fathering

by PaulNewberry (Author)

Synopsis

In this book, Paul Newberry writes with passion on the need for real spiritual fathers in the midst of a post-modern, and to a large extent post-Christian, landscape. He ably demonstrates how a true spiritual father behaves and thinks and explores the father-son dynamic in a mentoring relationship. Paul has served in ministry for more than 40 years and is also a gifted writer - which makes this book all the more compelling. It is passionate, authentic, rooted in Scripture, and always practical.

Author Bio
Paul Newberry was in ministry for over 40 years. Together with Andrew Parfitt, he led Manna Christian Fellowship in Kent, relinquishing leadership at the beginning of 2003 in order to recognise and appoint new leaders. He encouraged leaders and strengthened churches in Egypt, Austria, and Turkey, as well as a small number of churches in the UK. Paul served Assemblies of God in an executive capacity, was a visiting faculty member of the AOG Bible College for 16 years, and was a member of the Groundlevel Team led by Stuart Bell for ten years. His desire for spiritual sons to seriously know God and serve the gospel of His kingdom and the Lord Jesus Christ with passion and joy was well known.
