Author Bio
Benjanmin Zephaniah was born in Birmingham, and grew up in Jamaica and in Handsworth, where he was sent to an approved school for being rebellious and a born failure ended up in jail for burglary. After prision he turned from crime to poetry and music. In 1989 he was nominated for Oxford proffessor of poetry. His other poetry books include The dread affair (areana) and City Psalms and Propa Propaganda (bloodaxe).
