by Chris Fairclough (Illustrator), WayneJackman (Author)
This book is taken from a series about different fabrics and the items of clothing these materials are used for. The materials include both synthetic and natural fibres. Each book is divided into different spreads exploring stage by stage where materials come from and how clothes are actually made. Every spread is illustrated by specially commissioned photographs showing the materials in their raw stage through to the finished articles, worn by children from the reader's own age-group. The book include some simple tests and games which show us what our own clothes are made of. The author, Wayne Jackman has written five other books in Wayland's The Senses series.
