Emma Tompkins is Senior Lecturer in Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability at the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, UK. She sits on the Editorial Board of Ecology, and Society and was an expert reviewer for the IPCC's fourth Assessment Report.
