John Hick, winner of the 1991 Grawemeyer Award for significant new thinking in religion during the past five years, is a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Research in Humanities at Birmingham University, U.K., and Danforth Professor of the Philosophy of Religion, emeritus, at the Claremont Graduate School, California.
