"Wet, Wet, Wet"

by Brian Beacon (Author)

Synopsis

This biography of Wet, Wet, Wet explores the contradictions at the heart of the band: they rose to fame on the back of teenybop hype - yet, since then, they have strained for adult credibility. Ironically, it's their records with singalong simplicity, such as Goodnight Girl or Love is all Around that have given them their greatest success, or even rescued their career. As a young band they craved this sort of success in the pop world. Yet, they remain torn between living a pop-star lifestyle and loyalty to their working-class roots.
