Their experience of planning and executing the work provides the detailed practical information that lies at the heart of the book. The results of the restoration described in this book are shown in specially commissioned colour photographs displaying the gardens in their newly revealed splendour. Finely drawn garden plans accompany each chapter, giving the reader a bird's eye view of the overall garden design. Apart from providing a practical guide to restoration and a detailed account of changing period styles, this book will serve as an inspiration to all garden owners.
