I Spy the Rainbow

I Spy the Rainbow

by Fred Drummond (Author)

Synopsis

How to grow in an intimate relationship with Jesus. Let the simplicity of childlikeness lead you to renewed confidence in God. From Indiana Jones to Lord of the Rings; from the call of Matthew to the death of Lazarus this is a mix of story, discussion and questions designed to transform your spiritual life. It is brilliant to know that God loves you. There is no better message in the whole universe. It's fantastic, exciting and mind blowing. Yet somehow it can lose its force in our lives. For many reasons we can become unhappy about the state of our spiritual lives. At those low points in our lives we are left asking: How can I live in closer union with Jesus Christ? Is it possible to grow in a more intimate Journey of discovery with God? There are many reasons why we fail to maintain an active, joyful and empowered spiritual life. Many of these are linked to our view of being grown up and mature. Starting from the looking at Jesus and Childlikeness this book leads you to think about some of the qualities of children that point us to opportunities of moving on in our spiritual lives. It offers people a glimpse of the beauty of the relationship that can be ours with God in Christ. To discover a new joy in life and to understand what he means when Jesus says, unless you become like a little child you cannot see the Kingdom of God.

Author Bio
Fred Drummond likes to think of himself of a 5' 7 version of Indiana Jones. His children tell him he is more like a dinosaur from Jurassic Park. He is the minister of Perth Riverside Church: a fast growing new church in Scotland. Fred studied English and Theology and in recent years has become interested in 'emerging Church' theology; this led to him completing a Doctor of Ministry specialising in New Church. He is married to Caroline and they have two teenage sons.
