by Christopher Marlowe (Author), Colin Teevan (Author), Colin Teevan (Author), Christopher Marlowe (Author)

Synopsis

Christopher Marlowe's Dr Faustus is regarded by many as 'a great play marred' by dated satire and suspect third and fourth acts. A play with a long history of 'additions', Colin Teevan's contemporary scenes, set backstage at Dr Faustus itself, link the thrilling danger of Marlowe's opening acts, with the profound terror and tragedy of his finale in a radical and darkly comic new take on a classic of the English stage.
