Media Reviews
The play offers a bold panorama of civil disaffection... There is a density of detail that is compelling... There's plenty of evidence of emotion: adrenaline highs and the stomach-churning fears of the police and victims of arson...a good story which has the smoky smell of truth... The Riots is both an enthralling discussion and a powerful reminder of the anger boiling up in society today. - Arts Desk

Gillian Slovo organises the collected spoken evidence with skilful, illuminating insight... this is important, pertinent theatre - The Stage

A thought provoking and admirably even-handed play on the subject. -The Telegraph
