Media Reviews
A moving story of friendship and family told through a unique teen battling with 'the other side'. Gutteridge presents Jessica as a fiery teenager that's independent yet worries how others view her. Over the book, she evolves and develops as different secrets and truths are revealed to her. Gutteridge has produced a great book with the perfect balance of humour, serenity and love. Overall, I recommend the book to anyone wanting to sit down with an easy read. * Neave Dowling *
A very touching book about friendship and love. -- AOIFE WESTON * Kiss magazine *
This type of life/death, partial-return-to-earth is not easy to handle, but the author achieves it with considerable success. Her teenage characters are convincing and their problems poignantly expressed, while her strong narrative disguises a number of seemingly incidental, but nonetheless valid moral messages. * Leicester Mercury *
It's such a poignant story for young teens that you can't help reading parts of it with a lump in your throat. Make sure you have your tissues at the ready. -- Jayne Howarth * Manchester Evening News *
It's a heart-warming story that really makes you think about how well you know the ones you love, yet it isn't overly sentimental or sickly sweet. -- Hazel Holmes * Chicklish *
'an emotional yet not draining story about grief, love and forgiveness.' * Luna's Little Library *
