Author Bio
Carol Ann Duffy is a poet and playwright. She is Professor of Contemporary Poetry at Manchester Metropolitan University and is Britain's poet laureate. Her work has won numerous awards, including the Whitbread Award and the Costa Award. Catherine Hyde has been an artist for nearly 30 years, showing her work in galleries around the world. Following The Princess' Blankets, Catherine went on to illustrate Firebird by Saviour Pirotta, longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2012.
