Glyn Coppack works for English Heritage and is one of Britain's foremost monastic scholars. Among many works The White Monks: the Cistercians in Britain (Tempus 1998), Christ's Poor Men: the Cistercians in England (Tempus 2002) are standard texts on the subject. Dr Coppack lives in south Humberside.
