Media Reviews
Arwel is a mediocre rugby player, not good enough to play for Aberscary Comprehensive School - except when he plays with the Zombies, when he becomes a heroic, unstoppable player. Arwels team-mates are Welsh International players who made errors on the rugby field and were turned into Zombies as punishment. The only way they can redeem themselves is by winning an International match. They are menacing in the way of the All Blacks when they dance their war haka, but they are sad creatures, too. They need Arwel, and they need Arwels dad who has contacts and who can arrange an International match for them. Arwel is sidetracked into changing his image when he agrees to be interviewed by the keen sixth form editor of the Aberscary School newspaper sixth form girls dont usually bother with thirteen-year-old boys! So, when a match is arranged it is up to Arwels friends to deliver him and the Zombies to a mysterious valley in France to play against another unusual team. Will Arwel return to form, and will the Zombies win the match and gain their freedom? You'll have to read this witty Welsh page-turner to find out ...
