Barrie Rickards is a highly proficient lure angler who has been passionate about lure fishing for well over half a century. He has engaged in lure fishing in countries all over the world and, using lures, has caught Arctic char in Siberia, brown trout in Argentina, piranah in the Amazon and tevally on the Great Barrier Reef. He is a retired Professor of Palaeontology and Biostratigraphy at the University of Cambridge, a life fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and the author of thirty fishing books and over 700 articles. A consultant for Shakespeare Co.
