Author Bio
Dr David Edwards qualified in medicine at the London Hospital Medical College in 1977. He then worked as a hospital doctor in Chelmsford, Cambridge and Bristol before training as a general practitioner.

Martine Gallie is a health writer and editor. She started her career in journalism at the British Medical Association before going on to work for a wide variety of national magazines and websites, including Marie Claire and BabyCentre.co.uk. She was previously health editor of Mother & Baby magazine and editor of Yourfamily.org.uk.
