Author Bio
Charles Stepan, 6th-degree black belt under sanction of Grand master Kae Bae Chun, has been in martial arts for over 30 years. He has also been active as judge, referee and tournament director throughout the eastern United States for much of that time. His numerous competition wins include the North American Martial Arts Championship, North American Taekwondo Championship and the All American Open Championship in Madison Square Garden, a title he claimed twice. Stepan's authoritative articles have been published in magazines such as Karate Illustrated, Black Belt, Traditional Taekwondo and Taekwondo Times. He lives in the US. Consultant Harry Cook has been training in the martial arts for 35 years, and his experience embraces a wide range of martial arts. He is a 4th dan karate-ka, Chief Instructor of the Seijinkai Karate-do Association, and holds an instructor's certificate in Muay Thai. He is widely published as an author of books and articles on martial arts, and writes a regular column for Dragon Times. He lives in South Africa.
