Media Reviews
A wonderfully original writer. * * The Times * *
Funny and sad. A remarkable debut. -- JOHN BANVILLE
At times blisteringly funny - like the hapless anti-hero himself. * * Guardian * *
As witty, erudite, and outrageous as Waugh, with a flawed hero worthy of Roth. A marvellous, enviable debut. -- ANDREW SEAN GREER
Beautiful and heartfelt . . . the narrative is constantly inventive, messing with chronology, giving Harry depth even when he's acting like a Class A schmuck. * * Word Magazine * *
Fun, fast, and heartfelt. -- JOSHUA FERRIS
It makes for fine tragicomedy, and Savras excels at poignant slapstick, putting Harry through humiliating hoops while ensuring that his bright but bumbling hero remains sympathetic. -- James Smart * * Guardian * *
