Author Bio
Professor Catherine McDermott is a lecturer in Design History at Kingston University, Surrey, and has lectured worldwide at the Pratt School of Art, New York, the University of California, the Paul Getty Center, Santa Monica, and the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal College of Art in London. She is also a respected curator of design exhibitions. As an author, she has been published widely in the field of contemporary design and her previous book publications include Street Style: British Design in the 80s (Bloomsbury) and monographs on Ben Kelly and English Eccentrics.
