Chris Hawkes (CJ Hawkes, LHB, SLA, HS 18, ave 16.25, BB 4/18, ave 32.40 - as cricket fans the world over might have recognized him) played professional cricket in the County Championship for Leicestershire as well as club cricket in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. After retiring as a player, he turned his hand to publishing and was editor of the Cricketers Who's Who as well as writing many books himself, including - on cricket - The ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Guide and World Twenty20 Guide 2009, as well as on subjects such as golf and rugby (two of his other sporting loves) and general sport. He lives in south-west London.
