Author Bio
Claire Hawcock has written numerous books for children on a variety of subjects, including ancient and natural history. She has a particular interest in fairy tales, myths and legends. Claire's first picture book, Mine, All Mine, was published by Boxer Books in 2009, to be followed by a series of first chapter books for girls. Other previously published works include Dragon's Egg (Walker Books); Amazing Pop-up Pull-out T-Rex and Amazing Pop-up Pull-out Mummy (DK). She lives in Bath with her husband and children. Pat Moffett spent a year in a factory labelling gripe before enrolling for a degree in illustration and graphic design. In 2001, after 15 years of working as a designer and art buyer, she rekindled her desire to be an illustrator by undertaking an MA. Her books for children include Fairies and Magical Horses, also for Carlton, as well as Mirrorstorm and Mirrorscape.
