Richard Overy, Professor of History at the University of Exeter, UK (formerly Professor of Modern History, King's College, London), is an expert on the history of the Second World War, air warfare and the Hitler and Stalin dictatorships. He has published 17 books, including Russia's War, The Battle of Britain and Why the Allies Won, and edited a number of others.
