Author Bio
Katherine Roberts won the Branford Boase Award in 2000 for her first children's book Song Quest. She has since written 12 books for children, including I am the Great Horse, which was long-listed for the 2008 Carnegie Medal, as well as numerous fantasy and science fiction stories for adults. She worked with racehorses for 10 years and still enjoys riding for pleasure. She lives in Bristol with her husband and two young daughters. Pat Moffett spent a year in a factory labelling gripe before enrolling for a degree in illustration and graphic design. In 2001, after 15 years of working as a designer and art buyer, she rekindled her desire to be an illustrator by undertaking an MA. Her books for children include Fairies, also for Carlton, as well as Mirrorstorm and Mirrorscape.
