'Such a wealth of stories and information, this is a book every adult should read - let alone their children. Corr's illustrations take the presentation to another level. A book to be read aloud and dramatised - such is its richness' - Primary Times
Author Bio
Shenaaz Nanji was born in Mombassa, Kenya, where she says, I grew up in a midst of a fusion of cultures: Bantu-Swahili, Arabic and East Indians. I am a cultural hybrid with roots in Indian culture.A While raising her two children, Shenaaz found that there was a lack of multicultural literature, so she began to craft stories of her own, thus beginning her career as a writer. Shenaaz is the author of several books for children, but this is her first project with Barefoot Books. She currently lives in Calgary, Canada, with her husband. Christopher Corr is a painter and illustrator based in London. He travels the world painting people, colourful places and beautiful buildings.
