Author Bio
Jan Dobbins is a specialist in music education for young children. A songwriter and composer, she runs creative children's workshops focusing on instrumental music, art and drama. She is also an instrumental teacher and former head of music for schools in North Somerset, and has written a successful tutor book series for violin, viola and cello. This is her first project with Barefoot Books. David Sim was born in Glasgow. He studied graphic design at the Edinburgh College of Art in the UK, and illustration at the Royal College of Art, London. He then worked for many years in London for a wide range of clients, including magazines, design groups and advertising. He now works mainly for children's publishers, illustrating and designing. Mark Collins is a London-based musical director, pianist, arranger and composer. He has conducted theatre productions in Germany, New York and all over the UK. This is his fifth musical arrangement for Barefoot Books intended to inspire young people to play instruments and make music! Mark is also the Musical Director and vocalist for Portside Pirates (9781846861536).
