Media Reviews

Features: The first part of the book includes an introduction to ICDs, evolution of early devices into the current ones, general features of the devices, and a basic approach to analyzing stored electrograms. This section assumes significant prior knowledge of ICDs and arrhythmias. The second part, the 48 clinical vignettes, is well written with easy to understand, organized explanations of the electrograms. The unique clinical vignettes structure is an excellent way to improve understanding of ICDs and stored electrograms.

Assessment: This is a high quality book that can be quite useful as an adjunct to conventional textbooks in the area of implantable cardioverter defibrillators.

Score: Weighted Numerical Score: 78 (Doody.com)
