Author Bio
Sally Gardner was born at the start of the Second World War, in which her father was killed, and grew up in a series of hotels that her mother ran. Since the age of 15, she has been involved with the theatre, both behind the scenes and treading the boards, as well as teaching drama and writing plays, and in the 1970s she formed her own travelling theatre company. She now runs both a charity line for Cat Call, finding lost cats, and a small writing business, Scribes Anonymous. She lives in Breed, East Sussex.
