Media Reviews
My prize for the best-looking picture book goes to Mr Pusskins. Extremely funny, and crammed with chic, colourful illustrations. -- The Daily Mail In picture book fiction I was excited by the energy of Sam Lloyd's Mr Pusskins and Little Whiskers. Working in the tradition of the great British cartoonists, and with a limited colour palette reminiscent of 1950s magazines, this is a super sequel to Mr Pusskins. Any older child who has suffered at the hands of an innocent-looking younger sibling (yes, that's me) will respond knowingly to Lloyd's cat tale. Lovely. -- The Bookseller 20070817 Mr Pusskins thinks life can never get better: he is adored by Emily and he adores her in return. But then Emily brings him a surprise -- a kitten. But LIttle Whiskers is not a surprise that appeals to Mr Pusskins, and soon the cat fur is flying. How the grumpy old puss and the spirited kitten come to terms and settle into a comfortable life together is revealed with a sprightly touch in Sam Lloyd's hilarious illustrations. -- The Guardian 20080119
