Allotment gardening is becoming increasingly popular, proving that there are growing numbers of people who want to grow their own fresh produce. Whether going organic is your passion, food miles are your pet hate or you simply want to enjoy the thrill that growing your own vegetables produces, allotment gardening has something to offer everyone. The A-Z of Allotment Vegetables is full of essential information on all the best known vegetable varieties, as well as numerous exotic and lesser-known ones. Many of the vegetable varieties are illustrated in a special colour section, which accompanies the vegetable directory.
