Ski School

Ski School

by David Anderson (Author)

Synopsis

Skiing is a popular winter leisure activity that offers healthy outdoor action for the whole family, usually in spectacular mountain settings. Ski School gives the reader a comprehensive introduction to the sport, covering types of skiing, essential equipment and gear, basic techniques and turns, more advanced skills, how to interpret snow conditions, ski travel and some popular resorts in Europe and North America that are particularly suited for novices and families on a budget. As most novices will (wisely) sign up for ski lessons, the tutorial component predominantly covers the basics, but also offers some tips for getting fit beforehand and shows how to stretch and warm up before taking to the slopes. Throughout, the focus is on the skiing experience, with Ski School providing everything you need to know to enjoy your time on the slopes.
