Author Bio
Hugh Johnson is widely recognized as the world's favourite wine writer. His wealth of knowledge, combined with a rare talent for making the complex subject of wine accessible, has won his many books an enthusiastic following worldwide and awarded him international critical acclaim. Hugh Johnson's first book Wine was published in 1966 and established him as one of the foremost writers on the subject. He then went on to write a remarkable sequence of wine titles including The World Atlas of Wine, now in its sixth edition and co-authored with Jancis Robinson. His annually updated Pocket Wine Book sells some 400,000 copies each year throughout the world. Stephen Brook is a highly regarded wine writer, with over thirty books to his credit. His Wines of California won the Glenfiddich and Veuve Clicquot awards, and Le Prix du Lanson Champagne, for best wine book of 2000. He is also the author of Pauillac and Bordeaux: People, Power and Politics which won the Veuve Cliquot and ICP awards in 2002, and he is the general editor of A Century of Wine.
