The Daily Telegraph 'Delightfully old-fashioned, this book evokes the 1940s perfectly... There are tips galore...all delivered with a stoicism and optimism that, at times, brings a lump to the throat... A great book with lots of relevant information for today's gardeners' -- Pam Richardson Garden News 'These notes from the wartime broadcaster...are still handy today' BBC Gardens Illustrated
