Author Bio
Peter Robinson trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, where he was awarded the Master of Horticulture by the Royal Horticultural Society. He was appointed a Principal of Capel Manor in 1968 and built up a thriving horticultural college over the next 16 years. While a Director of Stapeley Water Gardens in Cheshire, England - one of the leading water garden centres in Europe - he designed gold medal gardens for various flower shows, including the internationally acclaimed Chelsea Flower Show. He was made a Fellow of the Institute of Horticulture in 1985. Over the years, he has lectured widely throughout Britain, Ireland and the United States and now practises as a freelance horticulturalist, designing and installing landscape features. He is a regular contributor to garden magazines and has also written a number of books on the subject of rock and water gardening.
