Author Bio
After learning the violin with a teacher at the Royal College of Music in London, Katy Blatt studied art history at Cambridge University between 2003 and 2006. She graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London in 2008 with an MA degree in Art and Cultural Politics in Germany, 1890 1945 after having co-curated the 'East Wing VIII - On Time Exhibition' (January 2008-July 2009) at Somerset House. She subsequently interned at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where she helped research the recent Miro exhibition, and worked as the Schools and Teachers intern at Tate Britain in their Youth Programmes Department. She has also worked as an educator at the Soane Museum in London (2007 2009). In March 2009 she began working at the MPW School, London, where she teaches art history and English language to 16 19 year olds.
