Author Bio
Andi Robertson was born in South Devon in 1959 and educated at Kingsbridge School. He set up his own marketing and sales consultancy business in 1982. After 22 years of sales and management experience in London and then back home in Devon, he opted for a change of career and became a mature student. Getting a BA and the Certifi cate of Education enabled him to become a business advisor and lecturer. In 2001 Andi was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and a combination of personal and professional interest fuelled subsequent research and the establishment of the Disabled Entrepreneurs Project which helps disabled people start up their own business. He has also written articles on marketing, disability and small business issues for regional newspapers and national magazines and has won two small prizes for his short stories. In October 2006 his first book, Working for Yourself Uncovered, was published by Trotman. Travelling has always featured in Andi's life but he was always delighted to come home to the South Hams (Devon) where he was born, grew up and lives with his wife, Jane. They have four children: Laura, Rosie, Charli and Alex.
