A 'how to' guide on painting flowers in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Very practical with five easy to follow projects; this will prove a valuable addition to the shelves of any keen botanical painter. Outlines are provided as pull out tracings which can be used again and again. These are supplemented by detailed instructions on how to achieve the correct painting effects. Included in the book are some of Rennie Mackintosh's most famous paintings namely Anemone and Pasque Flower, and Anemones. What makes this book just that bit extra special is the fact that Peart shows how to achieve similar effects in compositions of your own. She has created two compostions - Lavatera and Garden Flowers - in the style of Rennie Mackintosh and explains clearly how these were achieved. This is a fascinating book, which will be much appreciated by artists.
