The most detailed and accurate garment drawings can't convey their message without the proper fashion figure underneath. And getting that figure just right can often be the trickiest part for many aspiring fashion designers. Packed with scores of correctly proportioned fashion poses suitable for a variety of garments and styles of design, this book provides the tools to draw and render the draped fashion figure, perfectly, every time. As well as the resource of ready-made figures, students can pick and choose from a library of foundation garment blocks and design details, enabling them to bring their own uniquely clothed fashion figures to life.

Sha Tahmasebi has always had a passion for the arts, and fell in love with fashion illustration after taking a course in graduate school. Although a scientist by profession, she and a few co-workers started a new business venture called Indah Santi Clothing based in Hawaii. As the designer of a clothing line, she became fascinated with all aspects of design - from illustration, to pattern making, textile selection, sewing and garment construction, and manufacturing. Eager to learn more about this design process , she left the world of biology and enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing in Los Angeles. Upon graduating, she accepted a post teaching Fashion Illustration at the American Intercontinental University, where she recognised the need for simple, reliable, and effective techniques that can be used by all students to illustrate and materialize their own designs.
