Each book contains over 200 designs...The designs are permission free and range in size and detail making them ideal for many crafts including hand and machine embroidery, silk painting, beading and quilting. Both books are presented in a convenient A4 format so that designs can easily be enlarged or reduced using a photocopier, and can be transferred to a project by scanning, printing and tracing.

They cover a wide variety of different themes such as flowers, leaves, alphabet letters, sea creatures, birds, art deco panels, fairies, fantasy figures, oriental figures and Egyptian pictures. The designs were chosen to inspire embroiderers and help them to develop their own ideas. I feel that it could equally be used by lacemakers as a design aid and for inspiration for many types of bobbin lace and needlelace.
