Synopsis

This invaluable coursebook is designed for all trainees working towards Qualified Teacher Status. Covering essential skills of planning, monitoring and assessment and class management, it relates these specifically to primary maths teaching. Separate sections deal with management of mathematics learning and progression/misconceptions in mathematics topics; this new, third edition has also been completely revised to reflect the new QTS Standards, Primary National Strategy and other new initiatives. Popular, existing features are joined by new reflective tasks and "Moving On" sections to help trainees to build on each chapter, plus new and expanded chapters which fully update the text.
