by TrishHafford-Letchfield (Author)

Synopsis

Constantly shifting social, legislative, economic and political influences on social care authorities have led to significant changes to their organisation and management. This book explains the structure and culture of social care and highlights the relationships with partners in other sectors, for example local and central government agencies. Taking an interactive approach through case studies and examples of best practice this text is ideal for students on the social work degree course, NVQ management development programmes and practitioners wishing to progress to management roles in their organisations.

Excellent contribution to an area of social work that is sadly very poorly researched...Helps make the complex clear and straightforward (Senior Lecturer, University of Wolverhampton)
