Santa's Reindeer

Santa's Reindeer

by RodGreen (Author)

Synopsis

An essential part of the magic of Christmas, Santa would be lost without his trusty reindeers - Donner, Dancer, Prancer, Blitzen, Cupid, Dasher, Vixen, Comet and Rudolph. Carefully selected by Santa and his Sleigh Master from herds living in the frozen North, the chosen few are invited to the North Pole to undergo rigorous training. Here they are cared for by the stable elves and exercised and trained by the Sleigh Master in preparation for their ultimate task. Only once they have completed this intensive training and received their certificates are they considered for a place on the team (replacing a previous reindeer as they only work a maximum of two years before returning to their friends and family in the herd). Santa's Reindeer introduces us to each of these very individual reindeer and follows them from their selection from the herd, through their training, special diet, living quarters, and finally to their ultimate task - pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. With special items, including a reindeer training manual and a qualified stable elf certificate to fill in, and facts and information about wild reindeer, this is a magical and touching story that brings to life the very essence of Christmas.
