Author Bio
Martin Fido is a university lecturer whose career has included teaching at Oxford, Leeds, Michigan and the West Indies. He is currently teaching at Boston University and lives on Cape Cod. For 20 years he was a freelance writer and broadcaster. His weekly London radio programme Murder After Midnight had a very large and enthusiastic following. During this time he specialised in true crime, and he is recognised worldwide as one of the leading authorities on Jack the Ripper. He also co-authored The Official Encyclopedia of Scotland Yard. He is married, and has two daughters, one son and three grandsons.
